MP3 SELECTS: Playlists & New Music from Anyma, Fred Again.., Vincent Antone & More

In the modern era, distribution services push out over 60,000 new tracks every single day. How do you cut through all the noise, select what to listen to, and boost your playlist game? Introducing MP3 SELECTS, our weekly rundown of new music releases and our updated playlists on Spotify. Check out this week’s round up below:

Anyma — Unearth”

On a mission to explore the outer sonic realms between technology, sound, and the human condition, Anyma has dropped his monumental debut album, Genesys. The 14-track cinematic collection places the producer — who is originally known as a member of Tale Of Us — at the forefront of the electronic music community as he encapsulates all listeners on a journey that blurs the lines between the autotomy of robots and machines and their place among the human species. Through futuristic synths, spellbinding melodies, and unnerving arrangements, “Unearth” is a testament to how humans can coexist among the rise of AI and technology.

Fred Again.., Obongjayar — “adore you”

Fred Again.. has once (again) brightened our spirits with a new release, “adore you.” Debuted live at Lollapalooza, the cheeky new single sees the producer collaborate with Obongjayar for an ode to each musician’s siblings and the love shared through family connection. The emotive track pieces together samples from Obongjayar’s “I Wish It Was Me” with a beautiful arrangement full of shekere rhythms and effervescent sound production. Once you press play, it’s impossible to not be flooded with blissful and lively spirits.

Vincent Antone, Underlux — “Beat Blaster”

Rising electro-soul producer and multi-instrumentalist Vincent Antone continues to swoon us with his infectious beats in his latest new single, “Beat Blaster.” Tapping Denver-based producer Underlux, the two conjure up a sonic recipe full of hip-hop vocal samples, rhythmic and glitchy bass drops, and smooth guitar and horn melodies. It’s quite the pick-me-up if you find yourself needing some beat-heavy grooves in the middle of your day.

Vincent Antone is deep into one of his busiest years yet as he sets sail making appearances at Secret Dreams and Cascade Equinox later this year. He’ll also be linking up with CloZee as part of her Microworld’s NYE celebration at Denver’s Mission Ballroom on December 30.

Casmalia, Cheechmo — “Fkn Club”

San Diego-based producer Casmalia reminds us that the place to be is literally “the f*ckin’ club.” Teaming up with Cheechmo, the two power through a cheeky tech house banger, complete with a filthy bassline and all-too-relatable vocal samples leading up to the drop. Depending on how you hear it, there could be a hidden message in here, either telling some of us that we spend too much time in the club or that it’s just the place to be. Either way, once you hear this track, it’ll get you sweltering back on the late night dancefloor.

FISHER, Kita Alexander — “Atmosphere”

Grammy-nominated DJ and producer FISHER has teamed up with fellow Australian star Kita Alexander on his hotly-anticipated new single, “Atmosphere.” Already being touted as one of the dance anthems of the summer from its explosion on TikTok, the new track combines soaring synths and Kita Alexander’s irresistibly catchy lead vocals over a pulsating uptempo groove, making it the ultimate feel good party tune.

DROELOE – “Downside Up ft. Transviolet”

Indie electronic visionary DROELOE asserts his breakthrough status in 2023 with the poignant single, “Downside Up ft. Transviolet.” A bittersweet motivational anthem, the track starts softly with tender piano and ethereal vocals by Transviolet, gradually building into a raw, cathartic blend of alternative and Drum & Bass. This marks the fourth and final single from DROELOE’s forthcoming debut solo album, The Art of Change, set for release on September 15. Following the indie pop hit “Landscape ft. Baji,” which achieved over 1 million streams in a month, DROELOE continues to soar.
