As the festival season charges full steam ahead, the preparation for each event becomes a task in itself. Welcome to MP3 PREP, your ultimate guide to navigating the pulsating world of music festivals.

The Unmissable Sold-Out Deadrocks

The annual Deadrocks spectacle attracts Zeds Dead enthusiasts from everywhere, convening for a weekend to revel in their shared admiration for the distinctive ‘killa killa’ sound. This year feels particularly special, given the impressive lineup. The event features MYTHM’s inaugural Red Rocks appearance, legendary DnB artists Chase and Status providing direct support on the first night, and up-and-coming star Hamdi delivering a double debut — performing in both Denver and the iconic Red Rocks venue for the first time.

Other notable acts in this year’s lineup include ROHAAN, Deadbeats staple Tape B, Smoakland, Nostalgix, BLVK JVCK, and A Hundred Drums b2b Coki. The sold-out Deadrocks IX is sure to be a memorable experience.

Given the fluctuating weather conditions at Red Rocks, dress in layers and always prepare for both ends of the spectrum. Remember, the elevation can be intense, so stay hydrated and take your time when scaling those stairs.

3rd Annual Jamboree

The Jamboree is the perfect time to unwind from Red Rocks while still enjoying a day of great music. This three-stage event will host a DnB, Deadbeats, and Altered States stage, each bringing artists across genre realms. Artists playing this year include Kumarion b2b Liquid Smoak, Nostalgix, a Rush Hour set (Black Carl! and Saka), Truth, Blossom, SuperAve. b2b HEYZ, Mary Droppinz, Noises, Blanke, Zeds Dead, and tons more! Dre and Tristan both on their own play countless sets, but having the opportunity to catch the two together is few and far between. Recently, they’ve been hitting lots of shows together such as Tripolee at Forest together last weekend. Now, Denver and Deadbeats fans are getting blessed with the duo at the Jamboree on July 4th.

Mission Takeover: An Evening to Remember

Following the Jamboree, fans will gather at the Mission Ballroom for another evening of electrifying music featuring two Zeds Dead sets. The formidable duo Integrate, a side project of Black Carl! and VCTRE, will kick off the night, ensuring a lasting impression.

Remember, this event follows the Jamboree, so be sure to pace yourself and stay mindful of your wellbeing and that of your friends.

Catch Smoakland

Smoakland have made massive waves within the scene, they have countless Deadbeats releases, a recent interview with UKF, and so much more, they continue to stun and pave a bright path for themselves. Back in April, the duo premiered Liquid Smoak (a DnB inspired project where they share the sounds from the genre they love) at Mersiv Red Rocks.

On day one of Deadrocks, you can catch the duo playing a regular Smoakland set before the legends, Chase & Status. After that, they will be hitting the Jamboree at the DnB stage, for a b2b with Kumarion as Liquid Smoak. Fans will get a little taste of everything from them this weekend, don’t miss out!

Jamboree’s 3rd Annual Hot Dog Eating Contest and More

Returning for its 3rd year is the Jamboree hot dog eating contest, which is aiming to rank in the top three for largest capacity hot dog eating contests in America. The fun doesn’t stop there — other activities include a three-legged race, dunk tank, lawn games, and so much more. And, of course, there will be great music playing throughout. Don’t miss out on the food trucks, bouncy houses, and a glam station!

Getting Ready for the Weekend

Remember, Denver weather can be fickle. So, while it might start off hot and sunny, be prepared for sudden weather changes. Make sure you’re equipped with sunscreen for the sunny spells and sturdy, waterproof shoes, just in case.

Don’t Miss the Offbeat Deadbeats Afters

The ELEV808 x Offbeat crew will host two separate after-parties for the Deadbeats festivities on July 2nd and July 3rd. These 21+ after-parties will be at The Hideout in Denver, featuring a 360 stage and plenty of lasers. Ensure to pace yourself at Deadrocks so you can keep those feet moving to some legendary sets. Curious who’s playing? You’ll have to attend to find out.
